PXT Infrastructure Solutions Brings Electric School Bus Charging to Granite City, Illinois

PXT Infrastructure Solutions recently completed an EV charging installation for First Student's Granite City, Illinois, bus facility through the Ameren Illinois Electric Vehicle Partner Network. The project includes six 40 kW DC fast chargers and dedicated task lighting in each stall, helping keep electric school buses charged and ready for daily routes.

Ameren Illinois incentives helped reduce upfront project costs, supporting the transition to electric school transportation throughout the Metro East region. According to First Student, replacing a single diesel school bus with an electric bus can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 54,000 pounds annually.

The Granite City installation adds to PXT's growing portfolio of fleet electrification projects.
